Job Description CIDEIM seeks a researcher with experience in drug resistance in Plasmodium falciparum in conjunction with in vivo and in vitro susceptibility. This individual will join the existing Malaria group of CIDEIM to continue developing current and new projects focused on generating knowledge about the mechanisms of emergence and dissemination of resistance to antimalarials, which can then be used in the development of public health policies for transmission control at the national, regional and global level. CIDEIM´s Malaria group works in close collaboration with several national and international research institutions with complementary resources and skills, such as: the Karolinska Institute, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, Purdue University, and Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research (SFBR). This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in working in a disease endemic setting, within a long established interdisciplinary research program with a team of highly committed investigators and their national and international collaborators.
