PhD position in Analytical Chemistry 17/08/2010
at the Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry. The research will be part of a larger project with the title: High-Value Compounds from Agricultural and Forestry Waste by Sustainable Methods – An Interdisciplinary Approach for Bioresource Utilization. The main subject of the PhD project is identification and quantification of valuable substances in biowaste. Research will mainly include separation science and mass spectrometric detection. The candidate should have an academic background in Chemistry, corresponding to a Master. Master thesis in analytical chemistry is a merit. Experiences of analytical chemistry especially separation and mass spectrometry are key merits. Any candidate should have good communication skills, excellent grades and developed abilities in written and spoken English. The PhD position is for a period of four years and could be extended by departmental duties at a level of at most 20 %.
