The Huygens Scholarship Programme aims to promote the influx of talented international students into Dutch higher education. Outstanding students who have (nearly) completed a programme of higher education and have (nearly) obtained their Bachelor's or Master's degree may apply for admission to a study or research programme at Utrecht University. If the student is admitted, he or she may be nominated for a Huygens Scholarship by the university. The student will be notified if this is the case, and can then send an application to Nuffic.
The application procedure for the Huygens Scholarship Programme for 2011-2012 is available on the Nuffic website as of 1 November. Note that students who wish to apply for the Huygens Scholarship must apply for admission to Utrecht University before the early bird deadline of 1 December 2010. Please indicate clearly on the statement of financial resources (see the application instructions) that you wish to be considered for the Huygens Scholarship.
