Job Description
The Department of Sociology, University of Groningen, the Netherlands, has a postdoctoral position available for the duration of 2 years. The postdoc position is embedded in the research and graduate school ICS (Interuniversity Center for Social Science Theory and Methodology) and in the research line Social Development of Adolescents. Topics that are studied are antisocial behavior, prosocial behavior, bullying and victimization, peer status, peer relations, and parent-child relationships.

Tasks
- Engage in academic research within the abovementioned research line and publish internationally over this topic
- Write proposals for the acquisition of external funds
- Teach within the department of Sociology in the bachelor and master program Criminality and Security for graduate students (20%)
- Supervise graduate students' master theses (20%)
- Actively participate in research activities of the research line, department and research school.

Job Requirements
- A completed PhD in Sociology, (Developmental) Psychology, Criminology or associated disciplines
- Affinity with one or more of the topics of social development of adolescents
- Some (basic) experience in teaching or supervision
- Theoretical and conceptual thinking, creativity, flexibility, motivation, and independent worker
- Publications in international refereed journals
