The project includes the following working areas: • health promotion within community groups (advocacy, communication and social mobilization for improving the level of knowledge and information to reduce the burden of ill-health in communities), • health systems strengthening (strengthening of health care financing mechanisms and organisational support of the district health system), and • operational research and documentation (as a cross-cutting activity for the two components). Your main responsibilities, under the Switzerland-based Project Leader will be to: • Coordinate the project with all its activities in country • Liaise with the regional and district authorities and relevant stakeholders of the project • Provide technical support for concept development in the different working areas of the project • Development of project plans • Facilitate and guide consultancy missions, trainings, etc. • Monitoring the implementation of project plans • Reporting duties to the project leader and within the stakeholder context (government, steering committee, etc.) • Accountability for the in-country project finances to the project leader Professional profile and requirements: • Training in health care financing or public health, and a background in family medicine, planning of health services at decentralised level, continuous medical education and/or community development.
