Creative Associates International, Inc. specializes in international development in the areas of education and community transitions. Based in Washington, DC, and Nairobi, the firm has field offices in 20 countries and conducts development projects with USAID and other donors.

Creative is currently preparing for an upcoming education activity in Tanzania funded by USAID, and seeks expressions of interest from qualified professionals who meet the qualifications for Chief of Party. 

The Chief of Party (COP) will serve as primary point of contact with the USAID mission and the Ministry of Education, and will serve as the public face for the project. The COP will provide overall technical oversight for the project and act as liaison between USAID and the Ministries of Education and Vocational Training of Tanzania (Mainland) and Zanzibar.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in education or related field.
  • 10 years of USAID project management experience, preferably on long-term education development projects.
  • A clear understanding and knowledge of Education Sector Development initiatives and priorities of Tanzania.
  • COP or leadership experience desired.
  • Experience liaising with senior government officials.
  • Tanzania experience or extensive experience managing education projects in East Africa.
