The Master of HIV uniquely positions you to take charge of your career, develop in your current place of work or find a new one!

The aim of the master’s degree programme in HIV is to provide students with state-of-the art knowledge, skills and competences that will allow students to engage on the labour market in the field of HIV with an academic approach.

Successful implementation of preventive strategies, treatment programmes, treatment and care of HIV are highly dependent on a profound and broad understanding of the HIV field, therefore, the Master of HIV has a multidisciplinary approach.

The Master of HIV is the first education ever that combines teaching in clinical and organisational management of HIV. The flexible degree programme is for all those with a clinical, public health or organisational management interest in HIV prevention, treatment and care.

Upon graduation students will be able to:

• contribute on a scientific background and at an academic level to the improvement in treatment and care of PLHIV
• participate in the planning, execution and evaluation of preventive and sustainable measures based on accepted policies and standards
• analyse HIV-related issues including the individual, social, cultural and political context
• participate in HIV research
