Description
The Conflict Mitigation Project Director will be responsible for coordinating and managing the partnership between IRC, Mercy Corps, and all local NGO partners, as well as project implementation and monitoring, reporting, and relationship with the donor.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Quality – Ensure project design and coordination that contributes to enhanced quality and strategic interventions at the community-level.
2. Project Implementation - All aspects of project are implemented and managed effectively, according to the proposal and all donor regulations.
3. Coordination & Representation - High quality coordination of large-scale partnership and representation of project through both internal and external channels.  This position reports to the Deputy Director-Programs at IRC Uganda. This position manages project implementation staff within IRC.

Requirements

• •An advanced degree in a related discipline; Governance and Rights; Conflict Mitigation; Civil Society;
• •Minimum 7 year’s overseas’  relevant work experience in program management and development, using community-driven and partnership approaches in a post-conflict setting; 
• •Demonstrable experience in human resources, donor compliance, financial and operational management;
• •Experience coordinating multi-faceted projects and teams across several locations, preferably in the region.
