REPOA invites beginning and junior researchers in Tanzania to a training course ‘Participatory Research Methods’. 

The objective of this training is to expose participants to a range of participatory research methods and to provide practical guidance in testing and evaluating these methods in a field setting. 

Course content includes: 
  • Understanding participation·         
  • Why participatory research·         
  • Who participates·         
  • Strengths and weaknesses of participatory processes 
Methods of Participatory Research·         
  • The problem solving approach·         
  • Visualization·                     
  • Ranking·        
  • Appreciative inquiry 
Practicing Participatory research·                     
  • Community visit for practice of the different participatory research methods·                     
  • Feedback on community visit 
The training will be held from Monday 22nd of August to Friday 2nd of September 2011.

REPOA will meet the cost of travel and accommodation for participants.
