New clues revealed after man shot to death in north Houston

More clues have been revealed in the shooting death of a 32-year-old man who died early Thursday morning after he was found with multiple bullet wounds on a north Houston street.

The shooting happened about 12:10 a.m. in the 1200 block of Bigelow near Cocharan, said K. Elliott, a homicide investigator with the Houston Police Department.

Elliot said a passing motorist spotted the man lying in the road and called 911.

The wounded man was rushed to nearby Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Elliott said residents near where the man was found reported hearing what sounded like firecrackers exploding and then a car speeding away from the area. No descriptions of the car or anyone inside it were available.

However, investigators later learned the victim's blue 2009 BMW 328 was missing and is believed to have been stolen. The car has Texas license plates DZW-0119.

Investigators said they had no suspects or motive in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
