Interior Ministry Warns Citizens Against Travel to Tanzania and Burundi for Purpose of Recruitment of Domestic Workers
Riyadh, Ramadan 20, 1437, Jun 25, 2016, SPA -- The Interior Ministry has warned citizens against travel to Tanzania and Burundi to recruit domestic workers until completing all legal measures and opening an official office for this purpose.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Marool, Director of General Department of Public Relations and Media, said that the Interior Ministry received a note from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosing that the relevant authorities in Tanzania and Burundi are investigating with some Saudi citizens.
The authorities in Tanzania and Burundi accused those citizens with charges, including human trafficking, exporting domestic workers illegally and working without governmental permit.
The Interior Ministry urged all citizens to take into account the laws and regulations in each country.
