We are now embarking on an exciting new programme of work funded by USAID working with PACT and other consortium partners called C2EYP – Caring for Children and Empowering Young People program.
This programme focuses on OVC (orphans and vulnerable children) care and support, HIV services, violence prevention and response, early childhood and adolescent development, education, child labourOut, and children living and working in the streets, community strengthening, and operational research for policy and planning.
The team, in partnership with high performing local civil society organizations (CSOs), will scale up core interventions to save lives and prevent new infections, ensuring that children and youth survive and thrive through sustainable improvements in the health and social well-being of one million orphans and vulnerable children and their families.
About the Role
- This exciting role requires not only leadership and technical expertise and follow-through, but also excellent time management and communication skills, and a real creativity and flare for designing and planning innovative and interactive training programmes appropriate for the specific target group of the activity.
- You will be an outgoing, highly motivated, and strong communicator who is committed to the promotion of youth led development and empowerment of women and girls. You will have strong knowledge and expertise in the two of our development goal areas, livelihoods and entrepreneurship, and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Location: 1 x Dar es Salaam & 1 x Mbeya
Salary: TSH 20,862,197 (Dar es Salaam) & TSH 17,840,260 (Mbeya) gross per annum
Preferred start date: As soon possible
Length of contract: 1 year contract with likelihood of renewal based on performance
Reports to: Outreach Coordinator
Partner Field Project Team
You will be expected to travel in-country on a regular basis
Working with Youth Officers, National/Community Peer Educators and CSOs to implement project activities
Ensuring the project meets quality implementation, targets and plan
Continuous feedback for learning and improvement
Strategy & Direction
Contributes to the formulation of the project strategic plans feeding into the overall CEYP2 project and Restless Development country strategic plan.
Programme Quality, Accountability and Reporting
Prepares and leads the implementation plan of project activities and reporting.
Guides Youth Officers, National/Community Peer Educators, CSOs on executing the activities in the project location.
Oversees the program implementation in schools and community in collaboration with partners
Program Financial Management
Prepares monthly activity budgets and ensures retirements are completed on time.
Ensuring value for money by ensuring funds are utilised correctly and efficiently
Manage costs against approved budget and ensure expenditure aligns with budget
Team Manager, Compliance and Capacity Building
Ensures that the Youth Officers and National/Community peer educators, CSO have a clear understanding of their roles, responsibilities and accountabilities; supported by clear job descriptions to ensure quality performance.
Facilitates the capacity building of team to ensure they have the appropriate skill levels for their positions and are developing to their full capacity; provides the necessary feedback to the program team and completes their performance appraisals.
Follows up on logistics issues at project location and ensures challenges are reported and resolved on time.
Representation and Collaboration
Represent the organisation in stakeholders meetings with local government and other networks.
Facilitates linkages, collaboration and networking with other civil society organizations and government and other relevant institutions to enhance Restless Development visibility and program activities.
Meets with partners’ staff and community leaders to discuss program improvement as needed.
