He expressed an interest in getting Jamaican coaches to help develop the talent of Tanzanian athletes, given Jamaica's success. The president said:
- "My visit here is about that, and so far so good"...
- "I would like to see as well deeper co-operation between our two business communities...
- "I am confident that our two countries have a lot to benefit from developing economic cooperation. You have a vibrant tourism industry which I want Tanzania to come and learn from your good examples"
- "Tanzania is richly endowed with several tourist attractions, serene beaches, Zanzibar, the coast line and Mount Kilimanjaro to the world renowned game parks like the Serengeti. Also Tanzania has many artifacts and historical attractions like the ones related to the slave trade and the archeological findings that tell the story of the cradle of mankind being somewhere in Tanzania. With all these opportunities and much more tourism in Tanzania could do much more than what it is doing at the moment,"
- "We would like to see Jamaican businesses - craft, tourism and in any other sector of their choice. There is an abundance of opportunities in agriculture, mining, manufacturing as well as in ICT, health and education. The investment climate in Tanzania is conducive"...
"Come and work with us for mutual benefit".
