Sometimes "Google Translate" is 'retarded' 06/07/2010
Today I accessed "Google Translate" page and typed in 'natoka tanzania' which returned the translation, ' departed from kenya ', come again? Now this is what I call 'retarded' because the automated machine has been giving very funny translations sometimes to the extent of completely distorting the whole meaning. On the other hand, because the machine was fed those words by someone, who knew exactly what they were doing, and because those "ones" have issues, then every little text that is in Kiswahili is most probably skewed because it's translation came from non proper-Kiswahili speakers. The proper Kiswahili language was born in Tanzania and spread to other countries, that is undeniable, even if the stars were to fall from the sky, who ever says otherwise is a blatant liar. So please Google, and any other translating organisation, whenever you need a proper language, and in particular Kiswahili translation, make a little effort to verify the credentials of those applying for the job. No need to mislead innocent people who trust your services just because some ignorant people got their hands first into computers thought "we" would never reach that stage. Shame on whoever made that mistake intentionally, this and other shady business of yours will backfire. Sisi Waswahili nasi tumelala mno! Tumeanza kuamka lakini bado tuna maluweluwe. Tuchangamke. Tuwasake hawa waharibifu na kuwakemea, tuwatimue wasituletee umang'aa wao.
