Nimeamua kuongea kuhusu hili baada ya kuangalia CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Awards. I

t is absolutely amazing seeing people making great stories, going to the source of the story, getting the untold and etc. Also the person who took the overall award of this year 2010, Sam Rogers, she was getting the story about the albino killings in Tanzania though I didn't get a chance to see the documentaryOur neighbours Kenya did well in the awards ceremony; not only Kenya but also Mozambique, South Africa and all others.

When I switch on the radio and "tune", about 95% of all stations just do music. News will be read for about 5 minutes and it is done. Music is not the problem, the problem is Tanzanian radio stations [are] not interested in things happening around the world.

Kama mambo yenyewe ndio hivyo, awards zitakuja kweli huku? Au ndio awards za hukuhuku za kumwaga?... Au ndio wanaona hizi redio za nje, namaanisha BBC au Deutsche Welle or VOA, wakileta habari zao ndio inatosha?

I am just asking...

This is true. Kibaya zaidi ni kuwa hata hiyo 5% iliyobaki, hawana habari zaidi ya TAARIFA kama nilivyoandika hapa http://changamotoyetu.blogspot.com/2009/09/tanzania-yangu-yenye-vyombo-vingi-vya.html.
Nyumbani ni uozo mtupu kwenye tasnia ya habari.
Tunajifanya tunapenda burudani ilhali hatuna cha kusherehekea. It's a shame.
Tunairithisha jamii uozo wa kupenda virahisi. Mimi binafsi huwa nazungumza na watu wa media na ukiwauliza kwenye station zao wanafanya nini, wanasema MUZIKI ZAIDI na sababu ni kuwa NI RAHISI kufanya vipindi vya muziki. Wengine wanalipwa na wasanii kucheza nyimbo zao.
Nani anataka kwenda kusaka habari mtaani?
Nikiwa Times Fm sisi tuluiokuwa kwenye dawati la Habari / Michezo ndio hatuthaminiki zaidi. Inasikitisha kuona ma-Dj wanapata heshima kuliko wanahabari.
Ukisikia habari zinazotamba ni za UDAKU.
Sijui kizazi kunachokua sasa kinachoaminishwa kuwa UDAKU NDIO HABARI kitakuja kubadilika vipi?
