"Feed your faith and your fears will starve to death" so says, the 9 year old, full of wisdom Rose Nasimiyu during her interview with Jeff Koinange's "capital talk" on K24 TV.
She's charming, never tire to listen to, full of encouragement too, she says, "I'll never give up" and adds more - When you are faced with problems, you don't ask, WHY ME, rather, WHAT's NEXT?
Rose is suffering from Cancer but that doesn't stop her dreams of wanting to become a doctor when she grows up, "so I can treat other people..." she says. She wants to be a model too but then asks, "if they keep poking me how can I be a model?" (referring to skin pokes during chemotherapy "chemo" sessions).
When Jeff asked her "do you still cry", she strongly exclaimed, "NO!... For what?" She says, "9yrs old is very big, there are 1yr old suffering from cancer, it's not only me, I have to stand up and talk for them. I can't just sit back and see others suffer, I need to do something there are 1yr old who cannot talk for themselves, they have AIDS, Leukemia, Brain tumor... they need someone to stand up for them..."
For those of you who think it's tough, and you can't go on, listen to Rose for some encouragement, she insists, "I don't want to give up now!"
