The assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1968, on the balcony of the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee is one of the defining moments in American history. 

The new Smithsonian Channel IS premiering a one-hour documentary on some never before seen or heard accounts of that day.
