Voice of Russia reports that, Russian gas export monopoly Gazprom is interested in projects in Tanzanian offshore and inland areas, including Lake Tanganyika, goes a report of the subsidiary Gazprom International.
According to the report, given Tanzania's terms for participants of licence tenders, potential partners and
strategic investors, Gazprom International's specialists will soon complete the examination of geologic and geophysical and other information received to determine the prospects of further operation in Tanzania.
The state-owned firm, Gazprom International is Gazprom's unified company specializing in search, exploration, and development of hydrocarbon deposits outside Russia.
The world's largest natural gas company reported profits attributed to Gazprom owners of 858.77 billion rubles ($25.2 billion / 18.6 billion euros).
