Call for applications: Course on health entrepreneurship by Muhimbili University and Cambridge Development Initiative

Interested in being more entrepreneurial? Considering starting your own venture to support healthcare in your community, region, or even nation? This course is designed to help you do just that!

Since September 2013, staff and students at Muhimbili University have cooperated with the wholly student-run Cambridge Development Initiative to develop a course in the foundations of health entrepreneurship. We look forward to welcoming you in the first intake of this new course in August!

Quick facts:
  • 2 week short course: August 11 to August 22, 2014
  • Deadline to apply: 12pm Noon August 8, 2014
  • Certified by Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences
  • Delivered by Cambridge Development Initiative (University of Cambridge) and School of Nursing (Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences)
  • Cost: 150 USD for MUHAS Students, 200 USD for others

The course will offer you the skills to make a greater impact in your chosen field. It will help you run sustainable projects and generate new revenue streams both in your own enterprise and the public sector. To make this a practical education, a Capstone Project will allow you to apply your learnings directly to your own ideas.

Whatever the type of business you want to found – for example a maternity / nursing home, drug store / health shop, private clinic or a research/consultancy firm – this course is designed to give you the foundation for opening your own venture and managing it well.
