Title: Needy Children Program Worker

Contract period: Two years (renewable)

Duty station: Karagwe

Introduction

MAVUNO Improvement for Community Relief and Services is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) established for the purpose of improving rural livelihood through using modern techniques of
farming and care for the environment. Its offices are based four kilometers from the small town of Omurushaka in Karagwe District, Kagera Region, on the way to Ibanda and Rumanyika game reserves along Kaisho/Murongo road.

The organization is looking for a person to fill the position of a worker for the needy children program.

Duties and responsibilities will be 

• Maintain files for children included in the program as well as for meetings and other program data

• Collect data on applying children and children who are in special needs

• Cooperation with different institutions especially schools, hospitals, Dispensaries, village representatives and social welfare office

• Distribution of basic school needs for the children in the program

• Work together with guardians and community on the basis of social group work

• Support rights of children at the family and community level

• Compile reports

Qualification needed 

• Diploma in fields of Social studies or Rural development

• Dependable team player with excellent listening and problem solving skills

• High degree of honesty, integrity and clean records from previous employers

• Experienced in working with Microsoft Word and Excel

• Must have a valid driver’s license and experience with driving motorcycle

• Not less than two years experience working with social activities (children, women, youth etc...)

• Age between 25 to 40 years

Salary 

The successful candidate will be paid TZS 6,000,000 per year plus health insurance, lunch and transport while on duty.
