Speaking to reporters in Moscow on Thursday, Edward Snowden's attorney, Anatoly Kucherena, said the former US NSA contractor is to remain in Russia for at least three more years after his application had been approved Aug. 1, 2014.
Russia Today reports Kucherena told reporters that Snowden had not asked for political asylum and he would not be able to apply for Russian citizenship: "He will be able to travel freely within the country and go abroad," "He'll be able to stay abroad for not longer than three months." -- RT quotes Kucherena as saying.
