Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa, Mhe. Bernard K. Membe (Mb.), leo amekutana na kufanya mazungumzo na Waziri wa Mambo ya Nje wa Burundi, Mhe. Laurent Kavakure jijini Dar es Salaam katika Hoteli ya Hyatt Regency, Kilimanjaro. Mhe. Kavakure aliwasili nchini tarehe 03 Mei 2015.

Wakati huo huo, Mhe. Membe ataongoza ujumbe wa Mawaziri wa Mambo ya Nje wa nchi za Jumuiya ya Afrika Mashariki kwenda Burundi siku ya Jumatano tarehe 06 Mei 2015 kufanya mazungumzo na Serikali ya Burundi kuhusu hali ya kisiasa inayoendelea nchini humo.

Taarifa ya Serikali kuhusu wakimbizi kutoka Burundi

WIZARA YA MAMBO YA NDANI YA NCHI

Wizara ya Mambo ya Ndani ya Nchi inapenda kutoa taarifa kuwa hadi jana tarehe 03 Mei, 2015 raia wa Burundi waliongia nchini kuomba hifadhi walikuwa 1,852. Raia hawa wa Burundi waliingia nchini kupitia vijiji mbalimbali vya mkoa wa Kigoma. Vijiji hivyo ni pamoja na kijiji cha Kigaye, Sekeoya na Kakonko. Vingine ni Kosovo, Kagunga na Kibuye, huku wengine wakiwa wamepitia katika Kituo cha Uhamiaji cha Manyovu kilichopo mkoani Kigoma.

Baada ya kufanyiwa mahojiano ya kina katika kituo maalumu kilichopo mjini Kigoma, 1,252 kati yao wamehamishiwa katika Kambi ya Wakimbizi ya Nyarugusu iliyoko wilayani Kasulu Mkoani Kigoma na mahojiano yanaendelea kwa waliobaki na wanaoendelea kuwasili.

Shughuli ya kuwahoji na kuwahamishia katika Kambi ya Wakimbizi ya Nyarugusu inafanywa na Wizara ya Mambo ya Ndani ya Nchi kwa kushirikiana na Shirika la Umoja wa Mataifa linalohudumia Wakimbizi (UNHCR), pamoja na wadau wengine.

Aidha Serikali za vijiji zinasaidia kuwapokea na baada ya kufanyiwa ukaguzi, hatimaye wanasafirishwa hadi mjini Kigoma.

Pamoja na ujio wa raia hawa wa Burundi, hali ya ulinzi na usalama katika maeneo wanapoingilia ni shwari na hadi sasa hakuna matukio yoyote ya uhalifu yalitolewa taarifa. Vyombo vya ulinzi na usalama vya Wizara ya Mambo ya Ndani ya Nchi vilivyopo katika maeneo hayo vinaendelea na kazi zake kama kawaida.

Hata hivyo raia wanaoishi katika maeneo ya mpakani mwa Tanzania na Burundi mkoani Kigoma wametakiwa kutoa taarifa kwa Serikali za Vijiji vyao kuhusu wageni wanaofika katika maeneo yao, badala ya kuwahifadhi kiholela majumbani mwao, na kuwa watakaobainika kukiuka maagizo hayo watachukuliwa hatua za kisheria.

Raia hawa wa Burundi ambao wamekuwa wakiingia nchini wakiwa katika vikundi vidogovidogo wataendelea kupokelewa kufuatana na taratibu na sheria zinazotawala upokeaji wa waomba hifadhi.

Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Mheshimiwa Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, amemteua Balozi Liberata Rutageruka Mulamula kuwa Katibu Mkuu, Wizara ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa. Kwa sasa Balozi Mulamula ni Balozi wa Tanzania nchini Marekani na Mexico.

Rais Kikwete pia amemteua Balozi Hassan Simba Yahya kuwa naibu Katibu Mkuu katika Wizara hiyo ya Mambo ya Nje na Ushirikiano wa Kimataifa. Kwa sasa Balozi Yahya ni Mkurugenzi wa Idara ya Mashariki ya Kati Wizarani hapo.

We are looking to recruit a distribution & special projects coordinator who will be responsible for developing, expanding and monitoring Shujaaz activities and research within the distribution network, in Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Monitoring and Expansion

  • Manage all channels of distribution of all Shujaaz media, except radio 
  • Make sure that our media get to the target audience in good quality and time. 
  • Continually maintain and strengthen relationships with existing comic book distribution channels and other channels through partners that may emerge. 
  • Obtain and channel back to WTS timely feedback from Shujaaz distributors to input into the production process and content. 
  • Monitor and provide continuous feedback that proves that the distributors actually distribute the media as required, ensuring that the ‘last mile’ is successfully reached. 
  • Explore alternative additional distribution networks for the Shujaaz media. 
  • Keep records of all distributed merchandise. 
  • Be available at all times to represent Well Told Story and deal with any distribution-related issues. 
  • Be available to support the Country Manager and senior teams in the fulfilment of duties in Dar es Salaam and elsewhere in Tz. 

Research Network

  • Maintain strong and active network of researchers within the Shujaaz distribution network and among other networks. 
  • Engage with any new special projects involving research within the distribution network. 
  • Provide management and logistical support to on-the-ground research activities undertaken in Tz by the K&L team 
  • Ensure strong communication and links with the K&L team in Tz and in Ke. 

Financial Responsibilities

  • Controlling and monitoring the distribution process and 100% adherence to the set distribution budget. 
  • Cost vs value for money analysis in the distribution process and advise finance accordingly. 
  • Will be accountable, defend and support relationship building budget, amounts to be agreed with the finance manager 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience required for this Role

  • Communication: The ability to effectively present ideas—both verbally and visually. The ability to engage with a wide range of partners – from senior company management to kiosk operators. 
  • Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative and work independently and deliver results without supervision. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office specifically Excel 
  • Good negotiation skills, Strong relationship building and communication skills. 
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee projects from conception to delivery. 
  • Detail focused, with good documentation, finance and record keeping skills 
  • Flexibility in working hours: happy to work evenings/weekends/travel in Tanzania and the region. 
  • Fluency in both Kiswahili and English 
  • A team player.
