The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is an impartial, neutral and independent organisation with the exclusively humanitarian mission to protect the lives and dignity of victims of war and internal violence and to provide them with assistance. It also endeavours to prevent suffering by promoting and strengthening International Humanitarian Law and universal humanitarian principles.
The ICRC's Regional Delegation in Nairobi co-ordinates the institution's humanitarian activities in Kenya, Tanzania and Djibouti.
The ICRC office in Dar-es-Salaam is seeking for an experienced & highly motivated individual to fill the position of: Finance & Administration Manager - Dar es Salaam
Finance management:
• In charge of accounting. Draws up complete accounting documents & prepares monthly accounting closing;
• Draws up banking documents & carries out currency conversion;
• Plans monthly cash needs
• Organises payments
Human Resources Management
• Participates in the evaluation of HR needs & assists the HoO in recruiting
• Explains staff regulation, other HR and finance procedures to staff members;
• Keeps up to date individual files, follows up absences and monitors changes in labor law
• Supervision of the driver
Premise & Maintenance & Logistics:
• Manages the administration and maintenance of premises and facilities
• Keeps up to date inventories;
• Organises requisition of office and other supplies;
• Serves as ICT relay
• University degree in Business Administration or Finance/Accounting and/or
Diploma in accounting (CPA /CMA or similar) internal Audit (CIA or similar) an asset;
• Computer literacy in windows environment;
• Very good organizational, analytical& administrative skills;
• Staff management skills & administrative skills;
• Able to work independently and within a team;
• Excellent oral and written communication skills(English and Swahili);
• Minimum 3 (three) years of experience in a similar position;
• Experience in the use of an accounting computerized package is an added advantage.
