Joint "Master of Science in Tropical Animal Health" (MSTAH) now open

The Department of Biomedical Sciences of the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Antwerp (ITM) and the University of Pretoria (UP) have the honour to inform you that the registration for the joint "Master of Science in Tropical Animal Health" (MSTAH) is open. The joint MSTAH will be offered as a blended programme (combined web-based and face-to-face) in collaboration with the Department of Veterinary Tropical Diseases of the University of Pretoria (UP).

DGD scholarships

With the financial support of the Directorate-General for Development (DGD), the Institute of Tropical Medicine is able to offer complete or partial scholarships to applicants from developing countries.
The admission requirements of the DGD scholarship

  • Admission to the course
  • Candidates older than 45 cannot apply for this scholarship.
  • The DGD only gives fellowships to candidates from the following countries (NEW SHORTENED LIST!): Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cuba, DR Congo, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Guinea, Haiti, Indonesia, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Nicaragua, Niger, Palestinian Territories, Peru, Philippines, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, South-Africa, Uganda, Vietnam, Zimbabwe.
  • At least two years of professional experience. Please note that internships and prior thesis work are not considered as professional experience.
If your application is accepted and you meet the requirements above, you are automatically in the running for the DGD scholarships.
