More Than a Survivor: Emerging Leaders Conference.

The conference is specifically designed for survivors 21 and older, who want a platform to expand their understanding of survivor leadership, learn new skills, and share knowledge with other survivor leaders. There are no registration costs for those participants selected to attend. However, all participants will be responsible for their own travel, lodging and food expenses, aside from meals provided at the conference.

Afrika Kommt! 2016 - 2018

Nineteen of Germany's leading businesses have committed themselves to a common cause. In 2008 they launched AFRIKA KOMMT! and in so doing, laid the foundation stone for sustainable economic cooperation with Africa.
The programme not only trains young, future managers from Sub-Saharan Africa on-site with German companies, but is also directed at forming stable cooperative partnerships for the future.

University of Geneva: Excellence Master Fellowships

The Faculty of Science, in collaboration with several sponsors, has established an Excellence Fellowship Program to support outstanding and highly motivated candidates who intend to pursue a Master of Science in any of the disciplines covered by the Faculty1. Admission criteria can be consulted on the relevant Master Web pages2. French proficiency is not a formal requirement for the Masters of the Faculty of science.

Application for an Excellence Fellowship is open to students from any university with very good performance in their studies (belonging to the best 10% of their bachelor's program) and that have completed the Bachelor degree or expect to complete it within 6 months3. Qualifications, skills and experience:
  • Master’s degree in international public health, international development, business administration or equivalent degree with relevant experience.
  • 5-10 years of international health or development experience, of which 3-7 years of experience are in business development.

Job: Patient Navigator (Community Health Educator)

Under the direction of the Director of Program Quality, USBP , provide outreach, needs assessment and case management to pregnant women in the project’s target area. This position is located at the PCI’s US & Border Programs office in City Heights. The position is full time.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct outreach among pregnant women and their families, increasing their awareness and knowledge of health issues and accessing health services.
  • Provide home visits and case management to program participants and evaluate their progress towards achievement of project objectives
  • Collect and maintain relevant project data per grant/contract specifications, including data entry
  • Plan and implement health education sessions, support group activities, and community service-learning projects including preparation, facilitation and follow-up
  • Prepare and present educational information and material for a culturally-sensitive program to serve families in the perinatal period
