A fast-growing small business of 7 permanent staff and a pool of 180 international consultants at the moment, OSC ensures that its corporate and non-profit clients understand their operational threat and reduce their vulnerability in high-risk areas, mainly Western, Central and Eastern Africa, the Middle East and North Africa, and increasingly Western Europe.
About the candidate
Other Solutions Consulting is looking for a highly motivated, competent security risk professional with at least 5 years’ experience working with the NGO sector. The candidate will have experience working in various environments and with varied multicultural teams.
Flexibility, integrity and professionalism drives the team at OSC so the candidate must be happy handling multiple projects to tight deadlines within our expanding team of risk management professionals.
The security advisor will work with clients who have varied technical security risk management capabilities and must be able to work in strategic and operational contexts at a high professional level.
- At least 5 years’ experience as safety or/and security manager within an international NGO, media or private company.
- Experience with security risk management and assessment principles and practices.
- Experience of operating in conflict and post conflict environments.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience in adult learning skills.
- Good understanding of NGOs’ duty of care requirement.
- French and English Fluency, additional languages a bonus.

The Security Advisor role fits within our dynamic team.
The successful applicant’s primary focus will be to engage directly with OSC’s clients to provide security risk advice and trainings with the objective of supporting our clients to achieve the right level of duty of care for their staff, assets, programmes and reputation.
The role will require travel to high risk locations to advise and train teams on a broad range of safety and security management practices.
