Doctors with Africa CUAMM is the first NGO in the healthcare area officially recognized in Italy. Founded in 1950 with the aim of training doctors to work in developing countries, actually CUAMM is working in Angola, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda** implementing healthcare projects in partnership with local governments and institutions.

JOB TITLE Program Coordinator

JOB LOCATIONS Tanzania, Dar es Salaam with short missions in Ruvuma and Simiyu district


START DATE September 2017

University Degree in Medicine, Nursing or equivalent title
Specialisation, Master or equivalent title in Public Health
Previous experience of Public Health in Developing Countries
At least 3 years of experience in projects coordination, monitoring and evaluation, reporting and grant management with NGOs; experience of management of nutrition projects will be an asset
Excellent knowledge of English and preferable good knowledge of Kiswahili
Good coordination and institutional relations skills
Availability to travel frequently

The candidate coordinates regional PMs and is responsible for the program and relations with the donor and local health institutions. In particular, he/she will:
plan the interventions, collaborating with the PMs
  • monitor the progress of expected activities
  • prepare reports required by donor and local authorities
  • support project managers for training activities about information system and improve data collection and analysis
  • improve planning and monitoring skills at regional and district level
  • collaborate on awareness-raising activities at Community level
  • support operational research
  • produce scientific evidence for informed planning
