Job: Deputy Chief of Party, Tanzania Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Support Activity

PATH is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) for an anticipated USAID-funded integrated nutrition, agriculture, and WASH project in Tanzania. The DCOP will report to the Chief of Party in managing all aspects of the project. Availability of this position is contingent upon release of a solicitation by USAID and recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project to PATH and final USAID approval of the candidate.

  • Assist the Chief of Party with all aspects of project operations including technical oversight, human resources, recruiting and training staff, and developing an organizational chart with distinct roles and responsibilities.
  • Build capacity of in-country staff to implement integrated health interventions activities.
  • Contribute to the design of the overall strategy for strengthening demand/supply.
  • Support the COP in compiling and disseminating high-quality periodic reporting in line with USAID and PATH requirements (quarterly and annual status reports, quarterly financial reports etc.).
  • Document lessons learned and organize learning and sharing opportunities between project and external stakeholders.
  • Provide capacity-building and mentorship to project staff, as needed.
  • Serve as acting Chief of Party when necessary and in that role represent the project before USAID and project stakeholders.
  • Oversee the partner relationships and management; operations and systems for project management; work planning; and district and community field operations.
