Research Fellow in Medical Statistics

The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine - Department of Medical Statistics wishes to appoint a statistician to work on the development, evaluation, and application of statistical causal inference methodology to estimate effects of treatment on health outcomes using observational data. This post is funded by a UK Research and Innovation Fellowship, recently awarded to Dr Ruth Keogh.
A major component of the work will be the application of causal inference methodology to data from the UK Cystic Fibrosis Registry, a large longitudinal database. Cystic Fibrosis is a chronic condition affecting over 10,000 people in the UK. This project will answer questions about the effects of specific treatments and multiple treatments used in combination in the care of people with CF.
