Background: The Scholarship was established in 2013 from the K.E. Bullen Endowment, which was initially created in 1982 from public subscriptions to honour the late K.E. Bullen, Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Sydney from 1946 to 1971. The Scholarship is provided to enable an outstanding graduate enrolled as a candidate for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Statistics to present a paper at a major overseas conference.
Open to: Students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics enrolled full-time for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the area of Applied Mathematics. Students must have satisfactorily completed an annual progress report after their first full-time year to be eligible for consideration.
Value: $3,500 per annum
