The Scholarship was established in 2010 with a gift from Dr Philipp Hofflin, University of Sydney graduate, to enable outstanding PhD students in the School of Mathematics and Statistics to explore research collaborations on a global scale. The Scholarship allows leading PhD students to interact with research mathematicians over a period of up to two months at a chosen host institution.
Open to: Students enrolled full-time in a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the School of Mathematics and Statistics. Students must have satisfactorily completed an annual progress report after their first full-time year to be eligible for consideration.
Value: $7,000 per annum
Duration: One off payment
